Cruise to New England and Canada - 2004
I took a cruise to New England and Canada, on the Grand Princess, in 2004. This was in October, so the fall colors were quite nice. This was not my first trip to New England, but it was my first trip to New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, in Canada. This is a really nice cruise, with some nice ports. I thought the lighthouse at Peggy's Cove was hauntingly beautiful. A bagpiper was playing while we were there, and the sound of the pipes added to the overall beauty. Bar Harbor is also very charming. Many of the stores had already closed up for winter. The grandeur of the mansions at Newport, Rhode Island reminded me of Hearst Castle in California.
