Paris - 2004
I visited Paris, France in 2004. Paris is a very beautiful city. The sun sets very late in summer, so it was hard to see the buildings illuminated at night. A boat ride along the Seine is a must-do, as is climbing to the top of the Eiffel Tower. I wish I could have spent more time at the Louvre. The stained glass in the Notre Dame and Sainte Chapelle cathedrals are really beautiful. The palace at Versailles is definitely worth seeing. The rooms inside, and the gardens and fountains are just incredible. I don't really speak French, but I took a phrase book with me, and I found that the French people really appreciated my efforts to speak their language, and were very helpful.
